SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Sustainable development goals (SDGs) are a set of global objectives established by the United Nations to address social, economic, and environmental challenges and promote sustainable development worldwide. Colleges play a crucial role in advancing these goals through education, research, community engagement, and institutional practices. Here are our sustainable development goals:

1. Quality Education:

  • Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
  • Offer accessible, affordable, and high-quality education to students from diverse backgrounds.

2. Gender Equality :

  • Promote gender equality and empower women and girls within the college and community.
  • Ensure equal access to education, leadership roles, and opportunities for women.
  • Implement policies and programs to prevent gender-based discrimination and harassment on campus.

3. Sustainable Green Campus :

  • Implement sustainable campus planning and design practices, such as green audits and energy-efficient infrastructure.

4. Responsible Consumption and Production:

  • Promote sustainable consumption practices among students, faculty, and staff through education and awareness campaigns.
  • Reduce waste generation and promote recycling, composting, and waste reduction initiatives on campus.

5. Partnerships for the Goals:

  • Engage alumni, donors, and community members in supporting sustainable development goals. Collaboration with different institutions for improving quality education for sustainability.
  • Colleges need to integrate these goals into their mission, vision, strategic plans, and daily operations to maximize their impact and fulfill their role as agents of positive change in society.

6. To uphold and preserve cultural heritage and to improve a sense of civic responsibility and social commitment.

7. To encourage students to promote creativity, sportsmanship, and leadership quality.
